Kentucky Requirement Details

The CE Shop is an approved school in Kentucky: N-0079 (KY State Board for Proprietary Education)

Renewal Date: Licenses-03/31 each year; CE-12/31 each year.

Hours required: 6 hours

Every four (4) years you will also need to complete a six (6) hour KY core course. The due date of this course is based on your birth date. Please refer to the KREC website if you have further questions about this requirement or when it is due by.

CE Shop Offering: 6 hours

ReportingReal estate course completions are reported to KREC each Friday. It may take an average of 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours. Please be patient with this process and understand that it may vary depending on your state. Course completion(s) are reported on the designated and publicly posted scheduled days. Course completion(s) will be reported the following scheduled reporting day from the course completion date(s).

Expiration date of course: Courses expire one year after the order date. 

Final Exams: Per Kentucky guidelines, you will be allowed to attempt the final exam on each of your courses twice (75% passing rate).  Per the state’s requirements for online CE courses, a licensee has two (2) attempts on the final exam. If the exam is not passed the second time, the licensee must repurchase and retake the entire course, including the final exam.

Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificates of completion will reflect this.
